What is Kids FitRanX™?
FitRanX for Kids is an 8 level Fitness and Strength program that has been created for 6-15 year old kids, which gauges a child’s overall level of fitness and teaches them specific exercises that have been proven to allow your child to demonstrate growth in every major muscle group, as well as cardiovascular conditioning. And, we HAVE FUN at the same time.

Prepare Your Kids For The Future
In martial arts, children are taught certain life skills that will help shape and mold them to being a better citizen. FitRanX for Kids program also aims to teach those same necessary life skills to succeed, but also include the following character development:
  • The understanding of a healthy lifestyle, including fitness & nutrition
  • Realistic & attainable goals setting skills, with the tools and instruction to reach them.
  • Preparation on how to live a long and healthy life, as they continue to grow
  • Leadership skills on how to lead and take charge of a group.

What Happens During Class?
Every session starts of with a complete warm-up, followed by a 15-minute strength and conditioning circuit, and finishes with a fun-filled fitness game to ensure that everyone has a great time!!  So what are you waiting for, it’s time to start enrolling your kids! But you better hurry, space is limited… there are only 15 spots per session available!

Fitness Testing?
In order for your child to progress from one level to the next, they must participate in a fitness test that uses specific exercises to determine strength within the exercises’ respective muscle group. For example, there are progressive levels of push ups, squats and core exercises that your child would need to perform from one level to the next.

Through scientific testing and years of development, these exercises have been proven to allow your child to demonstrate personal fitness growth in each major muscle group.
In addition, there is testing for cardiovascular conditioning, where your child would need to perform seal jacks, mountain climbers, jump rope, burpees, or anything else required to pass the level test.

As your child passes through the FitRanX For Kids system, they earn the opportunity to wear the color of their corresponding fitness level band, just like Karate! Kids can wear their bands at the fitness studio to show their rank, at school to let their friends know what they’ve earned, or just out and about in town.

Is Lifting Weights Bad For My Child?
The answer is NO. The old saying that "lifting weights will stunt your growth," by causing damage to a child's growth plates was proven to be a myth in 2001 by the American Academy of Pediatrics. But a lot of people still believe the old myth. By focusing on your child's form and coordination while working with free weights and body weight movements, FitRanX for kids prepares your child to perform at his or her best and gives them a competitive edge.
