R/L or L/R – first do the right side, then the left side. It generally doesn't matter what side you begin with. 10x R/L means to perform 10 reps on the right side followed by 10 reps on the left side.
3 x 10 – 3 Sets of 10 Reps
10x = 10 Reps
ea. – 10 Reps Each Side while alternating (20 reps total). In other words, L+R=1 rep
10* or 10x Lunges* - The *asterisk* at the end of the rep number or exercise indicates that L+R = 1 Rep. Thus, 10 Reps* while alternating sides is equal to 20 reps total.
